A Clients Six Week Programme Journey

A Clients Six Week Programme Journey

The Client

Roxii, 29, is an active mum with three young boys, runs her own company and has had to deal with the rigours and stress of not only coronavirus and its many implications for everyday life, but also of home schooling during the COVID lockdowns. All of this on top of two separate motorcycle tests, and some other health issues that arose.

She came to me looking for a boost in her confidence and self esteem, and to lose some weight that had been acquired since the birth of her third child. She had lost a lot of confidence in the way she looked, and just did not feel body confident anymore.

Goals

The main goal was to see her old self back and feel comfortable in her own skin. To lose weight to the tune of 2 stones would get her back to her desired weight, and a weight she feels more comfortable at. The scales would not be the main factor though, as it was more about fitting into clothes that she had not worn for a while and being able to shop for smaller sizes. Also having the energy to play with her boys for longer, and not feeling that she could not keep up with them.

The Plan

Roxii was very keen to embrace dietary changes, and knew from the start that this would be key to seeing changes. But making those changes become habits, and ones she could stick too, especially when her decrease in weight started to occur. It was agreed upon that food would be monitored and tracked through myfitnesspal, and weekly weigh-ins would be done by Roxii, and sent through to me. A calorie intake of 1800 kcals on a workout day, and 1500 kcals on rest days was calculated and agreed upon.

Sessions with me would be twice a week, concentrating on resistance work and a cardio finisher. Roxii was already a member of a gym, so would supplement seeing me with one to two gym sessions a week, where she would do a more cardio based workout, and then some resistance when she felt brave enough to enter the weights room! She was also encouraged to walk more per day, and see if we could up her steps to the 7-10,000 mark.

“I have so far done a 6 week training programme with Ben.

My results were ace and I'm so chuffed. My main goal was to lose weight and become more self confident...

My results. I've lost over 1stone, 3.5 inch from my waist, my strength has majorly improved and my confidence is showing alot!

Thank you for all you help and support Ben.

100% Recommend…”

Progress

Sticking to the dietary and calorie intake advice given would not be a problem for Roxii, and her weight loss was as follows:

Starting weight - 84.9 kg

1st weigh in - 81.3 kg

2nd weigh in - 82.4

3rd weigh in - 80.7

4th weigh in - 79

Final weigh in - 78 kg

Results

Over the course of the Six Week Programme, Roxii lost 6.9 kg (over a stone) in weight, with a steady loss over the weeks. A loss of 3.5 inches off the waist and 2.5 off the hips was a great success. She could now fit into her old clothes with ease, and also went out shopping to buy clothes in a more figure revealing style that she had dared not before! She regained her confidence, to the degree that she would go for long walks by herself and also not feel so conscious at the gym. She still has a small way to go before entering the weights room by herself!

Using myfitnesspal app to track her food intake was not only key, but a very enjoyable experience for Roxii. A weekly weigh in was enough to see the progress and give her the spur to keep at it.

Her cardio output has increased meaning she is fitter, and her strength has greatly improved. But the real result was the big boost to self confidence and liking what she saw in the mirror again. Also receiving many compliments along the way was a great boost for her, and reinforced the changes that were happening.

What's more exciting is that this is the start and the journey continues. Great dietary habits have been formed, and technique and form has been established in her resistance work. Time to kick on now and another stone to lose, and ever increasing smaller clothes to be bought!

If you feel you need a plan put in place for your weight loss goals, and you are ready to embrace healthy change, then please get in touch and you could soon be seeing the new you in the mirror.
